James was born in Covington, KY on March 21, 1972 and passed away in Dry Ridge, KY on July 12, 2025.
He leaves a son, Johnathan Perkins of Lynchburg, VA, two daughters, Audrey Perkins of Williamstown, KY, and Brooklyn Perkins of Dry Ridge, KY, He leaves his mother, Sue Perkins, his Pops, Les Schroeder, two sisters, Jennifer Sizemore, Kristy Schroeder and his brother Christian Schroeder.
James was a chef at some of the best restaurants in Covington, KY, Libby's Southern Comfort, Blinkers, Governor's House, but he enjoyed cooking for the family holiday dinners the most.
He loved listening to the Cincinnati Reds on the radio, watching the Bengals play football, and he loved fishing.
He loved family; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. His most faithful friend was RD, the neighbors dog. He loved him and RD loved James. They enjoyed lots of car rides and hugs.
He would work on every holiday at a soup kitchen in Covington, KY. He would make blessing bags for the homeless and even after he moved back to Grant County, he helped the needy and homeless.
James memorial is being held at My Old Kentucky Barn, 314 South Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097 on Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM.
Instead of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to the Lystra Church of Christ, 455 Mason Rd, Williamstown, KY or the Spears Foundation, P.O. Box 74. Dry Ridge, KY 41035.
