Janet Lee Lasters

March 4, 1950 — September 23, 2023

Janet Lee Moses Lasters , 73, of Walton, KY, formerly of Williamstown, passed away Saturday, September 23, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Edgewood.  Born on March 4, 1950 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late John V. Moses and Mildred Jean Dennis. Preceding her in death was a brother, John Salyers.

Janet was employed at Sunn Musical in Williamstown until they closed. Being one of the original employees of Wal-Mart in Williamstown in 1984, she quickly worked her way up to Retail Sales Manager. She was a family-oriented wife, mother, sister and Mamaw.  She will best be remembered for her love of camping, fishing, gardening, spending time at the lake, sewing, sun bathing and watching the Grand Ole Opry and Kentucky Basketball. She would not go out of the house until she was “made-up”.  But the highlight of her life was watching and supporting her grandchildren and great-grandchildren as they participated in extra curricular activities. She was a member of Seven Hill Church in Florence.

She leaves to carry on her memory, her husband, Robert "Bob" Lasters, one daughter: Launa Rogers of Florence, KY; two sons: C.T. (Brandi D.) Bagby of Dry Ridge, Mark (Patti) Stamper of Dry Ridge; one brother: Thomas “Chip’ Chipman of Sparta; two sisters: Judy Webster and June Beach, both of Dry Ridge and three step-children: Kristie (Carl) Richardson, Niki (Jason) Stewart and Matt (Bobbi Jo) Lasters. Lovingly remembering her as “Mamaw” are seven grandchildren: Amber N. (Dennis) Glenn, Brandi M. Bagby, Justin (Amber M.) Bagby, Austin Rogers, Gwen (Kelvin) Newton, Michael Rowe and Dakota Rowe; seven great-grandchildren: J.J., Keegan, Jordyn, Rylee, Jayden, Olivia, Liam and Nyla (who is on the way!!); nine step-grandchildren, and one step-great-grandchild with another on the way.

Visitation will be Friday September 29, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown.  Funeral services will begin at 12:45 with Pastor Ryan Burkart officiating.  Burial will follow at Kentucky Veteran Cemetery – North (KVC-N) in Williamstown with an arrival time of 2 p.m.
