Jason Ashley Rider

Jason Ashley Rider of Jonesville, KY was born October 30, 1974, in Richmond, VA and died Tuesday, December 9, 2025, in Edgewood, KY at the age of 51 years.

He is the son of Charles Leonard Rider, Jr. and Sharon Adele Smith Rider. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and an employee with the Kentucky Department of Transportation. Jason also served his community as a former member of both Dry Ridge and Jonesville Fire Departments.

Surviving is his mother, Sharon Adele Smith Rider of Dry Ridge; father, Charles Leonard Rider, Jr. of Melbourne, FL; 2 sons, Dallas Rider of Horse Cave, KY and Greyson Sandlin of Jonesville; sister, Brooke Rider (Mark) Cummins of Dry Ridge; and niece, Sabry (Lincoln) Howe of Dry Ridge; his life partner, Becky Lower of Jonesville, KY; and an uncle, Bruce Smith of Amelia Court House, VA.

Funeral services will be at 2:00pm on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown followed by burial in the Williamstown Cemetery. Visitation will also be Tuesday 11:00am-2:00pm at the funeral home.
