Jerry Smith

Jerry "Coonass" Smith was born Aug. 12, 1957 in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away June 7, 2020 in Cincinnati, Ohio following a motorcycle accident.  He was the son of the late Earl Baxter and Cleo Molly Harris Smith.

He was an excavator operator for Dudley Construction. He was also a member of the Northern Kentucky Harley Riders (NKHR).  He loved riding his motorcycle, camping with his family, classic cars, loved to draw and enjoyed woodworking as well as crafting.

In July of 1994, Jerry was united in marriage to Diana Smith.  In addition to his wife of 25 years he is survived by a son: Jerry Smith, Jr. of Texas, a daughter: Amanda Marie Johnson of Texas; a stepson: Clint Taylor (Marcie) of Dry Ridge; 2 stepdaughters: Angie Taylor of Falmouth and Autumn Taylor of Florida; a brother: Jack Riley Smith (Judy); a sister: Molly Gaylynn Sullivan; 8 grandchildren: Chassi and Hannah Johnson, Katelynn Smith, Sydney Taylor, Owen Taylor, Brayden Taylor, Zach Jacobs and Jacob Baxter.

Jerry was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Emsley Elmore Smith, Earl Baxter Smith, Jr., James Albert Smith and John Ellis Smith.

He will be missed by many.  But, his dog Barney and his Great Grandson Jace, whom he was raising will forever miss his presence and love.

He will forever be loved and missed.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
