Kathleen Elaine Preston

Kathleen Elaine Preston, 36, of Georgetown, Kentucky, gained her angel wings and entered into her heavenly home on Thursday September 18, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington after a brief illness. Born on June 11, 1989 in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of Janet Faye Rutledge Preston of Georgetown and Robert Doyle (Susan) Preston of Bagdad, KY.

Kathleen was a bright light in this world and such a beloved part of her family. She will forever be remembered for her many laughs and bringing a smile to the face of everyone fortunate enough to meet her…..an angel who made this world a much better place. Because of her positive attitude and contagious smile, she will most fondly be remembered for making other people happy. Her love for movies, music, art, Disney Princesses, Uno and cooking with her “Mommy” has left an everlasting impression on the hearts of many. Bowling in the Special Olympics and her involvement in her church, Northside Christian Church in Georgetown, brought her much satisfaction.

In addition to her parents: Janet Preston and Robert (Susan) Preston, she is survived by two sisters: Karen Eddith Preston of Kiddville, KY, Jennifer (Mike) Goddard of Fairhope, AL and two brothers: Andrew David (Megan) Preston of Waddy, KY and Bryan James Kauffeld of Auburn, AL.

Friends and family may gather for a visitation on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Northside Christian Church in Georgetown from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 with Bro. Wayne Currier officiating. Interment will follow in the Corinth I.O.O.F Cemetery in Corinth.
