Kay Lamonne Hambrick Garnett, 82, of Florence, Kentucky passed away peacefully May 16, 2025 with her husband, Robert, by her side. She was born Feb. 19, 1943 in Florence, Kentucky to her late parents, Lehman and Dorothy Hambrick. She is survived by her siblings; Robert (Linda) Hambrick, Kim Kearns, and Jon Hambrick. Kay's memory will be cherished by her husband of 62 years, Robert Garnett; daughters, Robin Garnett-Gray and Julie (Joe) Mattingly; grandchildren, Steven (Allie) Kinser, Ryan (Catherine) Gray, Cassie (Mike) Sizemore, Jared Gray, Braden Gray; great grandchildren, Thomas Gray and Parker Kinser and several nieces and nephews.
Kay loved to spend time with her family and friends, read mysteries, watch movies and was a huge fan of UK Wildcats, Bengals and Reds. She was a proud BCHS graduate, lifelong member and elder of Florence Christian Church, St. Elizabeth volunteer and community volunteer. She worked as an LPN in nursing homes, hospitals, and family practice and retired from St. Elizabeth Business Health.
She will always be remembered for the immense love she had for her family and friends and her passion for life and church.
Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 PM, Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Florence Christian Church, 300 Main St., Florence, KY 41042. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 PM, Thursday, May 22, 2025 at Florence Christian Church, 300 Main St., Florence, KY 41042. Burial of Kay's cremated remains will be in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery, North in Williamstown, KY at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Michael J Fox Parkinson Foundation or Florence Christian Church Shower Ministry.
