Larney E. Mercer

Larney E. Mercer of Dry Ridge, KY was born Thursday, October 10, 1940 in Fairmont, WV and died Wednesday, March 11, 2026 in Florence, KY at the age of 85.

He was the son of the late Larney Edward and Eleanor Timms Mercer. He was a former machinist with the US Shoe Co. in Flemingsburg KY and retired from Gusher Pumps in Dry Ridge, KY. He was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church, a 2-time KY State Archery Champion, loved NFL football, and was devoted to restoring old cars and trucks. On August 25, 1963 he was united in marriage to his wife, Barbara Ann Jones Mercer.

Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Barbara Ann Mercer of Dry Ridge; son, Scott (Jennifer) Mercer of Williamstown; daughter, Tammy (Jeff) Caudill of Dry Ridge; seven grandchildren, Justin (Shayna) Muse, Cheyenne (Eric) Pinales, Brandon (Vada) Mercer, Courtney (Kalin) Clifton, Cory Clifton, Jeffrey (Lilly) Caudill, and Javen Caudill; seven great-grandchildren, Jace, Jackson, Omo, Cattleya, Allicia, Vada, and Sierra; brother, Jimmy Mercer of West Virginia; and sister, Diane Mercer of West Virginia.

Visitation will be 11:00am-1:00pm Monday, March 16, 2026 at the Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown, KY. Funeral services will also be Monday at 1:00pm at the funeral Home followed by burial at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
