Larry Dale Brewer

Larry Dale Brewer of Williamstown, KY died June 17, 2025 at St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Edgewood. He was born July 27, 1948 in Mt. Sterling, KY to Andrew Jackson and Reba Brewer, both preceded him in death. His brothers, Steve Brewer and Barry Brewer also preceded him. Larry served his country 4 years in the U.S. Air Force. Once his duty was over, he worked for 47 years in the finance business starting with Kentucky Finance then later with Lexington Finance, where he was CEO for many years. He remained through several name changes until he retired in 20216. He was an avid sports fan and like any true Kentuckian, he loved UK basketball. One of his most recent and prouder moments was in 2018 when he was saved and baptized at 70 years of age at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Louise of 31 years and their beloved dog, Marley, his daughters: Jennifer Brewer, Tracy McIntosh and Ashley Hamilton; his 7 grandchildren: Jackson, Annabelle, De Lena, Anthony, Kaylee, Cassie and Eden, plus 2 great-grandchildren: Arden and Sloane and several nieces and one nephew.

Visitation will be Wednesday June25, 2025 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. Visitation will resume Thursday morning June 26th at 9:00 and continue until the time of the funeral at 11:00 with Pastor Jared Ebert officiating. Burial will follow in Williamstown Cemetery where full military honors will be observed.

A fellowship gathering will take place after internment at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
