Leslie Hurston Gullion, born in Ft. Thomas, KY on July 15, 1985, passed away at the UC Medical Center on Saturday, September 5, 2026, at the age of 41.
Leslie will be remembered as a loyal and forgiving woman who never complained. Her family knew her as bubbly and spunky, and those qualities shaped the way she moved through life and the way she connected with the people around her. She built a career as a chemical supervisor for Bosch Automotive in Florence, Kentucky, where she worked for many years.
She found joy in many things and brought that joy to others. Leslie loved to cook and was especially known for her pickling, her pineapple chicken, and her Cajun seafood boils. She was an adventurer who loved to travel, and she also enjoyed listening to music and attending concerts. In her free time, she liked both attending and working at the Florence Speedway Race Track. She also loved dogs, and she was preceded in death by her favorite dog, Nugget.
Above all, Leslie’s life was deeply rooted in family. She is survived by her sons, Aaron P. (Juno) Monhollen and Kalem C. Gullion, and by her daughter, Hannah Ann Claire Monhollen. She is also survived by her brothers Christopher Jacob Hurston and Stephen Olson; her sisters Rebecca Smith and Elizabeth (Andy) Taylor; her mother, Teresa Hensley (Marty) Thornberry; her father, Claude Hurston; her grandmother, Joyce Hensley. Each of them shared in the love, strength, and spirit that Leslie gave so freely, and her memory will remain a lasting part of their lives.
She was preceded in death by her step-mother, Joyce Hurston.
Visitation will be held on September 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Home - Crittenden, 132 S Main St, Crittenden, KY 41030. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Stanley Funeral Home - Crittenden. Rev. Milkweed Wotier will be officiating services. She will be laid to rest at the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY at a later date.
Leslie will be remembered with love for her warmth, her energy, her adventurous heart, and the many meals, moments, and memories she shared with those around her. Her presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered always.
