Loraine Winterling Fornash

Jane Loraine Winterling Fornash, 102, of Maryville, TN, formerly of Grant Co., KY, passed away on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Shannondale of Maryville Retirement Community. Born on November 20, 1923, in Dry Ridge, KY, she was the daughter of the late John Anthony and Mabel Clyde Childers Winterling.

On August 3, 1942, Loraine was united in marriage to Clint Fornash; he preceded her in death on January 7, 2011. She was a graduate of Dry Ridge High School and was an office personnel for Gates Rubber Company. Cooking, embroidering and sewing were among her favorite pastimes. She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Taylor Mill.

Survivors include three daughters: Sharon (late Ted) Campbell of Pinkerington, OH, Beverly (Greg) Baker of Knoxville, TN and Suzanne (Lonnie) Greer of Gilberts, IL, along with six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Tony Campbell.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Homes (Williamstown). Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Rev. Randy Wallace officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Cemetery.
