Luane Alexander Whitaker

Luane Alexander Whitaker of Williamstown, KY was born December 9, 1937, in Grant County, KY and died Sunday, August 3, 2025, at Knights Personal Care in Williamstown, KY at the age of 87 years.

She was the daughter of the late John Edward and Mabel McKinsey Alexander. She was a retired administration assistant with Johnson Control of Florence, KY. On January 13, 1962, she was united in marriage to her husband, James J.O. Whitaker, Sr. who preceded her in death on July 1, 2016. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a son, James O. “Jim” (Connie) Whitaker, JR.

Surviving is her son, Kevin W. (Sandra Pauline) Whitaker of Williamstown; 4 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Friday August 8, 2025, at the Elliston Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown followed by burial in the Hill Crest Cemetery, Dry Ridge, KY. Visitation will also be on Friday 11:00am-1:00pm at the funeral home.
