Marjorie "Margie" Johns

March 18, 1930 — February 1, 2026

Marjorie Johns, 95, of Milford, OH, entered her eternal home on February 1, 2026 in Milford, OH. Born on March 18, 1930 in Wolfe County, KY; she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Polly Ann Mullins.

On April 14, 1945, “Margie", as she was lovingly known, was united in marriage to Alfred C. Johns; he preceded her in death on February 22, 1995 after 50 years of marriage. She proved to be a faithful housewife and dedicated homemaker. She will fondly be remembered for her daily morning ritual of drinking her coffee and reading her newspaper. Cooking, embroidery, crocheting and watching her favorite game shows were among her favorite pastimes but congregating with her family, listening to Gospel music and good preaching brought Margie her greatest fulfillment. She was a member of the Oakley Square Church of God.

Margie is survived by her daughter, Julia (John) Strunk of Walton, KY; two sons: Robert (Roberta) Johns, William Johns, both of Milford, OH; a son-in-law, Ron Godbey, granddaughter-in-law, Sarah Godbey and two special nephews: Harold Johns, Jr. and Patrick Mullins. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Robert (Lisa) Strunk, Jeffrey (Jamie) Strunk, Shelly (Bill) Pease, Rachael(Dale) Boegeman, William (Teresa) Johns, Erica (Ben) Combs; Matthew (Tressa Johns) 15 great-grandchildren: Nathan (Randi) Strunk, Andi Pease, Amy Pease, Emma Strunk, Jonathan Strunk, Julia Strunk, Jackson Strunk, Eryn (Jerod) Metz, Eli Pease, Kylie Pease, Emerson Johns, Levi Magee, Libby (Dillon) Maness, Leah Boegeman, William Johns, Marley Johns and Aubrey Combs, all of whom lovingly called her “Mamaw” or “Granny”.  She was preceded in death by a grandson, Douglas Godbey; one daughter, Sandra Godbey; two brothers: Jesse Mullins, Larry Mullins and one sister: Marsella Johns and her husband, Harold and nephew, Kenneth Johns.
