Marlene Faye Bailey, 71 of Glencoe, KY, entered her eternal home on Friday April 24, 2026 at her residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 26, 1954 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late John and Sylvia Maie Jasper Seng.

On February 5, 1978, Marlene was united in marriage to Verlin G. Bailey; he survives. Marlene dedicated her life serving others in the medical field as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for St. Elizabeth Medical Center – Grant. She loved cooking and working in her gardens, both flower and vegetable; she had a fascination for hummingbirds, observing the moon and stars and feeding animals, especially coons. However, her greatest love came from spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She was a member of Concord Pentecostal Church.

Marlene will be forever remembered by her husband, Verlin Bailey; one daughter, Racheal Bailey of Glencoe, KY; three sons: Chris (Kary Johnson) Seng of Warsaw, KY, Brandon Bailey of Florence, KY, Brett Bailey of Florence, KY; one brother: Dwight (Sharon) Seng of Burlington, KY; seven sisters: Boneita Crone of Glencoe, KY, Vivian Nash of Florida, Laura Butler of Fort Mitchell, KY, Rita Turner of Fort Mitchell, KY, Debbie (Jimmy) McCabe of Florida, Debi Danastasio of Missouri and Denise (Kenny) Sawyer of Burlington, KY. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren: Hayden (Justin) Hill, Austin Bailey, Caitlin Crase, Tyler Johnson, Kurtis Johnson, Taylor Johnson, along with five great-grandchildren: Holland Hill, Redden Hill, Dutton Hill, Jace Johnson and Lily Chapman, all of whom affectionately loved her as "Memal"; numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be Wednesday April 29, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. till 1:00 p.m. at Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Pastor Vendus “Pal” Bailey officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Pentecostal Church Cemetery.
