Marta Lou Webster Updike

Marta Lou Webster Updike of Lawrenceburg, KY formerly of the Golds Valley Community of Grant County was born August 1, 1942 in Grant County, KY and died Friday, March 13, 2026 at her residence at the age of 83.

She was the daughter of the late Willard and Martha Mildred Crouch Webster and she was a former bank teller. On December 1, 1960 she was united in marriage to her husband, Andrew J. Updike who preceded her in death on June 28, 2009. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Gary Lee Webster and sister Andrea Fern “Fernie” Webster.

Surviving: sons, Mike Updike and his wife Merilee of Spokane, WA and Rodney Updike of Lawrenceburg, KY; grandchildren, Amber Renee (Cody) Ashcraft, Melody Updike, and Jefferson (Jasmine) Updike; great-grandchildren, Arlo Agustus Ashcraft, Gatlin Oreston Updike and Charlotte Jo Louann Ashcraft; and brother, Larry Wayne Webster, Sacramento, CA.

Graveside services will be at 12:00pm Friday, March 20, 2026 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North, Williamstown, KY with a “Celebration of Life” to follow at the Benton Farms in Walton, KY.
