Martha Lee Conrad

Martha Lee Conrad was born December 20, 1948 in Lexington, Kentucky and passed away July 2, 2025 at her residence July 2, 2025 at the age of 76.  She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Alpheus and Nannie Louise Goocher Hillman.

She retired from Grant County Schools as a school bus driver in 2009 with almost 20 years of service.  In the early 1990's Martha owned her own restaurant business in Williamstown, Country Cafe & Catering.  She was a devoted member of Stewartsville Baptist Church and loved spending timing reading the Bible studying God's Word.  She was known as a fantastic cook and baker and enjoyed various crafts such at sewing, drawing and making jewelry, all of which she relished teaching and passing down to her family.  She also enjoyed playing cards and always kept beautiful flowers around the house.  While she had many hobbies, her greatest enjoyment came from making memories with her family.  She leaves a legacy of love for them to carry on.

On Aug. 21, 1976 Martha was united in marriage to the love of her life, Gerald Ray Conrad, who preceded her in death on Mar. 26, 2007.  She is survived by a son: Scott (Stephanie) Conrad of Corinth; a daughter: Mary (Simon) Keith of Georgetown; three stepsons: Ray Conrad, Tommy Conrad and Mikey Conrad; a brother: Wayne (Sue) Hillman of Corinth; a sister: Jenny Lou (Keith) Taylor of Idaho; five grandchildren: Shelby Faith (Ben) Trumbo, Riley Conrad, Alyssa Conrad, Ezra Keith and Naomi Keith; and a great granddaughter: Izzy Trumbo.

Martha was preceded in death by a son, Charles Rudd, a stepson, Bubby Conrad, and two sisters, Glenda Grimes and Harriet Warner.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 12, 2025 at McDaniel Funeral Home, 440 Old Corinth-Owenton Rd., Corinth, KY  41010.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 12, 2025 at McDaniel Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the Jonesville IOOF Cemetery.
