Mary Marksberry

Mary Johnson Marksberry was born April 29, 1943 in Jackson, Kentucky and passed away July 31, 2025 in Williamstown, Kentucky at the age of 82.  She was the daughter of the late Sam and Josie Caudill Johnson.

Mary was a homemaker and loved reading.  She got her greatest enjoyment from spending time with family.

On November 9, 1961 Mary was united in marriage to John Allen "Joe" Marksberry who preceded her death in 2016.  She is survived by her daughter: Shelia Jo Carr of Williamstown; four sisters: Nancy Napier, Thelma Williamson, Betty Sloma and Lois Parr; four grandchildren: Christian Watt (Chad), Devin Fitterer (Lydia), Brandon Hurley (Paige) and Chelsea Rayburn (Marcus); and nine great grandchildren: Emma, Colton, Payton, Jackson, Bentley, Axel, Arthur, Breckyn, and Brooks.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Monday, August 4, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY  41097.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Monday, Aug. 4, 2025 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, Williamstown.  Burial will follow in the Williamstown Cemetery.
