Mary Edith McClure , 88, died Saturday February 22, 2020 Haven Hospice of Orange Park in Orange Park, FL. Born in Hamilton, OH on August 18, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Charles Allen and Mildred Lucille Wilson Riedel.
On January 11, 1948, she was united in marriage to Charles Allen McClure, he preceded her in death. She worked many years as a waitress for Frisch’s in Covington; she later worked at the Colony Restaurant in Florida. First and foremost, she was a faithful and committed Christian that aligned her life with the teachings of God’s Word. Daily Bible reading, watching TBN and talking to her friends about Jesus has the love of her life. Her family was immediately in second place; she was proud of her grandchildren and all the “greats”, whom affectionately loved her as “Grandma” and “Mar-Mar”. She held her church membership with Cherry Grove Pentecostal Church in Williamstown.
Survivors include four daughters: Diane Shephard of Owingsville, KY, Mona Rucks of Tampa, FL, Lori Wilman of Jacksonville, FL, Lisa McClure of Jacksonville, FL; six sons: Ray McClure of Mexico, David McClure of Tampa, FL, Terry McClure of Tampa, FL, Charles McClure of Ocala, FL, Ronnie McClure of Ocala, FL, Dennis McClure of Williamstown, KY; two sisters: Shirley Grant of Petersburg, KY, Wanda West of Latonia, KY and special friends: Patty Nicholson and Ellen Richerson and family. Over 40 grandchildren, over 65 great-grandchildren and many great-great-grandchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by three daughters: Kathy McClure, Mabel McClure, Debbie Mocahbee and one son: Tommy McClure.
Visitation will be Saturday February 29, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes - Williamstown location. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 with Rev. Matthew Hall officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Kenzie Mocahbee, Gavin Foushee, Gary Mocahbee, Justin Mocahbee, Cameron Holt, Chris Blew and Logan Hall.
Memorial contributions may be made in Mary's memory to Stanley Funeral Homes. A fellowship meal will be provided at the Revive Church following the interment, located at 2020 Taft Hwy. Dry Ridge, KY 41035
