Melissa Bryant Bingaman, a luminous spirit whose vibrant life touched the hearts of many, passed away on May 23, 2026, at her mother’s home in Georgetown, Kentucky. Born on June 3, 1974, Melissa's journey was marked by fierce determination, professional success, and an unwavering love for family and life.

Melissa bravely waged a valiant fight against the sudden onset of cancer, confronting her illness with the same strength and grace that defined her every endeavor. Her departure leaves an indelible void, yet her memory shines brightly, cherished by all who knew her.

A dedicated professional, Melissa’s career was a testament to her intelligence and tenacity. From her early days as a finance manager and car sales expert at Piles Chevrolet, she ascended to branch manager of GM Financial, followed by a significant role as a financial representative at West Lake Financial. She was recently promoted to vice president of private banking at WesBanco Bank. Melissa exemplified leadership and expertise, having served as branch manager, mortgage officer, and private banker throughout her impressive tenure.

Beyond her career, Melissa was a woman with passions that painted her life in vivid colors. She reveled in the tranquility and joy of traveling, with a special fondness for beaches around the world. Weekend getaways to Gatlinburg were moments she treasured, as were the sun-drenched memories from family trips to Playa del Carmen, Mexico—her favorite destination. In quieter moments, she found delight in crunching numbers purely for the pleasure of it, and indulged her love for binge-watching, alternating between spine-chilling thrillers and heartwarming Christmas classics.

Melissa’s love extended beyond her interests to the simple comforts she created for those around her. Her chicken and dumplings were legendary, as well as her decadent chocolate nutty layer dessert, recipes that now carry the warmth of her presence. Her affection for peony and lilac flowers added a tender elegance to her life, mirroring the grace she carried within.

She leaves behind a cherished family who will forever hold her memory close: her beloved husband Chris Bingaman; her son Logen Bingaman and his wife Kaylee; her daughter, Hannah Bingaman; her devoted mother, Willetta Davis Bryant; her brother William Thomas Bryant and his wife Nikki; her "favorite" granddaughter, Hadleigh Bingaman; and her best friend Sharon Clark Lynn. She is preceded in death by her father, William Thomas Bryant.

Melissa Bryant Bingaman’s life was a compelling narrative of courage, dedication, and love. Though her time among us has ended, her spirit lingers—in shared laughs over her recipes, in the quiet moments spent dreaming of beach sunsets, and in the heartbeats of all who loved her. Her legacy is the imprint of a soul that truly lived, loved, and inspired.
