Michael Wayne Cornn

Michael “Mike” Wayne Cornn, a Williamstown resident, passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the U.C. Medical Center at the age of 82. He was the husband of Emma “Jane” Lonkard Cornn.

Mike was born in Frankfort, KY on July 28, 1943, to the late Marvin Cornn and Mary Redding. On October 1, 1976 he was united in marriage to Emma Jane Lonkard. He was a former Iron Worker for the Union for over 50 years. Mike enjoyed working on cars, fishing, gardening, woodworking, sailboats and welding. In his free time, he used to haul water and work on cisterns for friends. He was a former member and treasurer for AA for many years. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.

Mike is survived by his wife Emma “Jane”; four daughters, Nancy C. Wylie, Mary L. Cornn, Pamela K. Ashcraft, Deana G. Lane; two sons, Douglas W. Vance, David W. Cornn; one sister, Betty J. Ellington; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and his pet cat Bob. Mike is preceded in death by one brother, James Cornn; one sister, Linda Brandt and his favorite dog Pebbles.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 18, 2026 from 9:30am-12noon at the Elliston – Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, KY. Funeral Services will be at 12 noon. Pastor Sam Newman will be officiating services. Burial will follow at the Williamstown Cemetery. Active pall bearers will include Austin Berger, Ray Ernst, Brayden Wylie, Justin Humphrey, Timmy Coddington and Kim Alfrey. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Williamstown Baptist Church, 214 N. Main St, Williamstown, KY  41035 or the Grant Co. Animal Shelter, 218 Barnes Road, Williamstown, KY  41097.
