Norma Jean Perkins, 88, of Dry Ridge, KY, entered into her heavenly home on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at her residence. Born on December 24, 1937, in Owen County, KY, she was the daughter of the late William Allen and Alice Beatrice Wainscott Suttles.
On December 5, 1959, at Canby Tabernacle in Owen County, Norma was united in marriage to Ruben Jay Perkins; he preceded her in death on June 16, 2022. She dedicated herself to being a faithful wife and committed homemaker. Sewing and quilting were among her favorite pastimes, but being “Grandma” brought Norma her greatest fulfillment. She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Williamstown.
Survivors include her son: Barry (Melissa) Perkins of Dry Ridge; three daughters: Penny Ralston of Lackey, KY, Daphne Hardin of Dry Ridge, KY, and Lisa Perkins of Dry Ridge, KY, along with 10 grandchildren: Angie Johnson, Jessica Nay, Tiffany Garrett, Clarence Robert De-Merle, Nicholas Perkins, Heather Evans, Kody Perkins, Shane Perkins, Christina Stephenson, Ralston Perkins and 12 great-grandchildren: Troy Clemons, Andrew Smith, Savannah Johnson, De-Angelo Johnson, Elisha Jenkins, Dameion Jenkins, Makiren Jenkins, Hunter Thompson, Brandon Thompson, Isabella Perkins, Ibby Perkins, Isabella Perkins and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Clarence William Suttles, Phillip Wayne Suttles and two sisters: Lorraine Hammond and Mary Lou Clauser.
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 8, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Oak Ridge Baptist Church. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 with Pastor Willie Ailstock officiating. Burial will follow in the Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
