Peggy Elaine Hubbard King, 85, of Union, KY, formerly of Grant County, entered her eternal home on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, at St. Elizabeth Hospice Care in Edgewood. Born on April 18, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Finley and Maggie Brock Hubbard.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie “Bud” King. For many years, she worked as an Office Manager at Paper People Company in Salisbury, MD. Among her many pastimes, she enjoyed gardening, basket weaving, sewing, baking and reading; she especially enjoyed traveling. Because she was a “people person”, she endeared herself to everyone who knew her with her pleasant and kind personality, coupled with a sense of feistiness. In previous years, she was a member of the Book Club of Providence (Richmond, VA) and currently held her church membership with Florence Methodist Church.
Her legacy will continue through the lives of her three children: Glen Raymond Odor of Salisbury, MD, Diane (Carl) Simon of Midlothian, VA, and Andrew Todd Odor of Union, KY; two siblings: Lowell Hubbard of Summerfield, FL and Norma Czyz of Dry Ridge, KY, along with three grandchildren: Joseph Aberl, Kate Simon and Nick Simon. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Joel Hubbard.
A Celebration of Peggy’s life will be held on Saturday September 26, 2026 at 12 Noon at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown; visitation will begin at 11:00 and go until the time of the funeral. A private burial will take place in the New Vine Run Cemetery.
