Peter Koching

Peter Koching was born June 10, 1957 in Cincinnati, Ohio and passed away July 30, 2025 at his residence in Newport, Kentucky at the age of 68.  He was the son of the late Alfred and Gertrude Koching.

On April 25, 1980 Pete was united in marriage to Carol Jean Webster Koching.  In addition to his wife of 45 years he is survived by 2 stepsons: Mike Searp,and Christopher Moore; a stepdaughter: Marie Moore; a brother: Wally Koching; a sister: Hildegard Koching; 12 grandchildren: Javier Dominguez, Amanda Bradshaw, Jesse John “J.J.” Wesley Floyd, Jr., Pamela Davis, James Davis, Destiny Campos, David Campos, Kayla Searp, Paige Searp, Justin Searp, Alisha Searp and Michael Searp; and several great grandchildren.

Pete was preceded in death by two brothers, 1 stepson Charles Moore, Warner and Willie Koching, and a grandson, Daniel Delfin.

Pete retired as a factory worker in Florence, Kentucky.  He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed other outdoor hobbies such as raising a garden and working on the farm.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY  41092.  Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
