Phyllis Elaine McNay Ross

Phyllis Elaine McNay Ross, age 89, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. Born on May 7, 1937, in Williamstown, Kentucky, she was the beloved daughter of the late Wreford Lee and Lorena Martin McNay.

Phyllis dedicated 17 years of service as a Worker’s Compensation Specialist for United Airlines. Beyond her professional life, she was a wonderful mother who will be remembered most for her infectious positive attitude. She possessed a rare and beautiful gift for always focusing on the good in all things, bringing light and warmth to everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted son, David Ross, and daughter-in-law, Lori Lockett of Castle Rock, Colorado; her cherished grandson, Jackson Ross of Parker, Colorado; three sisters, Sharon McNay, Diana McNay, and Jean (Don) Dibowski; and her sister-in-laws, Pat McNay and Dot McNay of Kentucky.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her siblings: David McNay, Charles McNay, Lee McNay, Sandra Roberts, Judy McNay, Carolyn Edds, and Betty Davidson.

Her legacy of kindness, resilience, and joy will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Friday, September 11, 2026 at Elliston Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY 41097.  Memorial Service will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, September 11, 2026 at Elliston Stanley Funeral Home in Williamstown, with burial to follow in Williamstown Cemetery.
