Ramona Sue Caldwell Witt, born on January 14, 1960, in Covington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Center of Edgewood, KY. Her warm spirit and loving nature touched all who were fortunate enough to know her.
As a dedicated mother, she cherished time spent with her family. Her son Anthony J. (Jessica) Woods II, and Eric (Courtney) Caldwell, along with her daughter Sarah Caldwell, remember her as a loving and caring figure who was always there for them. Ramona was also a proud grandmother to six grandchildren and a great-grandmother to one great-grandson, each of whom brought her immense joy.
Ramona's artistic talents shone through in her love for painting, which she pursued with passion. Gardening was another of her passions; she delighted in tending to her flower garden, bringing beauty to her surroundings. Known for her extraordinary cooking skills, she became particularly renowned for her chicken and dumplings, a dish that will forever evoke fond memories for her family and friends.
A true lover of animals, she had a special bond with her favorite cat, Tilly, who brought untold joy to her life.
She is survived by her father Harold Caldwell, her mother Irene Coldiron Baldwin, and her brothers Gary Caldwell and Jamie Caldwell. Ramona also mourned the loss of her son, Daryl Bailey, who preceded her in death.
As we reflect on the life of Ramona Sue Caldwell Witt, we remember her as a beacon of love and creativity, whose legacy will continue to inspire and uplift those who knew her. She will be deeply missed, yet her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who were touched by her kindness and warmth.
