Ray Messer

Ray Messer of Warsaw, KY was born August 19, 1938, in Jackson County, KY and died Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at the UC Health Blood Cancer Healing Center at the age of 87 years.

He was the son of the late Boss and Eva Hicks Messer. He was a retired assembly line worker with Natico Manufacturing in Florence, KY. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Fay Chipman Messer; his son, Jeff Messer; and two brothers, Dallas and Alva Messer. Ray was an outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and his honey and bees.

Surviving are two daughters, Jennifer Donovan of Hebron and Janice Reams-Stamm of Walton; five grandchildren, Brandi Monday, Joshua Messer, Jessica Smith, Ashley Donovan-Seth, and Brittney Donovan; 10 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Alice Starns of Union.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations in honor of Graham Donovan- Seth, great grandson of Ray Messer to “The Cure Starts Now”, 10280 Chester Road, Cincinnati, OH 45215
