Rita Marsh Doerr

Rita Marsh Doerr, born on December 3, 1957, in Covington, KY, passed away peacefully on July 24, 2025, at the Boone Springs Nursing Home in Union, KY. She was a cherished soul whose warmth and kind spirit touched the hearts of everyone she encountered throughout her life.

As a customer service representative for the Ark Encounter in Williamstown, KY, Rita found immense joy in working with people. Her career was not merely a job; it was a passion that allowed her to connect with others, sharing smiles and kindness on a daily basis. Rita's genuine love for humanity was further demonstrated during her time as a secretary at the Violet Ridge Church of Christ, a place that held a special significance in her heart.

Rita graduated from Gallatin County High School and carried forward her education with a dedication to serving her community. To know Rita was to experience her delightful sense of humor and her knack for bringing laughter into any situation. She had a unique ability to put others first, an embodiment of selflessness that painted her life with beautiful memories.

Rita had an enormous love for her family, especially her beloved nieces and nephews. She adored spending time with them, creating lasting memories filled with joy and affection. In her earlier years, Rita savored the simple pleasures of life; she loved singing, baking cookies for the holidays, and fondly remembered her days fishing and camping.

Rita is survived by her sister, Joy (William) Owen, and her two brothers, Elmer Marsh and Gary Marsh. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Marsh and Thelma Pennington Marsh, along with three brothers: William Marsh, James Marsh, and Ronald Marsh. Their memories will forever remain close to the hearts of those who loved her.

As we remember Rita Marsh Doerr, we celebrate a life defined by kindness, humor, and an unwavering commitment to others. She graced us with her presence and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those she left behind.
