Rita Marlene Wilson

Rita Marlene (Beighle) Wilson, a mother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky at the age of 76. Born on August 28, 1948, in Sabina, Ohio, Rita was known as a beacon of warmth and kindness throughout her life.

She was a loving caretaker. Her work ethic was matched only by her love for connecting with people. Rita had a remarkable ability to engage with those around her, never meeting a stranger, a gift that had a lasting impact on many around her.

Rita’s love and generosity was abundant. She found purpose and joy in having an active share in her volunteer work as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Sharing bible truths that she deeply loved with others was a work that enriched her life and the lives of others. Her pattern of life was truly one of integrity. Beyond her spiritual pursuits, she also loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends.

Rita will be deeply missed by her family and friends, including her son Rick Wilson (Debbie), her daughter Melissa Collins (Bill), her son Deven Wilson (Sarah), her stepfather Dannie Alexander, sisters Marti Crowder (Jeff), Candy Link (Darrell) and her brother Larry Beighle (Mary) as well as several nieces and nephews. These loved ones carry forward her legacy of compassion and warmth. Rita is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence Beighle and Johnetta Alexander, her sister Kathy Haley and her brother Kevin Alexander.

As we remember Rita, let us celebrate a life lived fully with a heart that knew no bounds. Her love for people, her endearment to family, her devotion to her God, Jehovah, and her zest for life’s adventures will always be cherished by all who had the privilege to know her.

A memorial service for Rita Wilson will be held on Saturday, July 26 at 2pm, At the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2319 KY-53, Lagrange, KY 40031. Visitation will be held before and after the service starting at 12pm.
