Robert Thomas Lafevers, lovingly known as Bob, was born January 13, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio and passed away September 15, 2026 in Cincinnati, Ohio at the age of 68. He was the son of the late George Anderson and Wanda Jean Sparks Lafevers.
Bob was a retired pipe fabricator with Ferguson Enterprises and Pipe Products and also worked as a roofer. He was a member of the Lighthouse Full Gospel Church and former member of the Community Family Church. Bob was a member of the Seven Hills Rod and Gun Club where he met his wife, Tabatha.
Bob also enjoyed staying active throughout the years outside of work. He was an avid bowler for many years and loved playing softball and cornhole. He enjoyed playing cards, especially Texas Hold'em, with neighbors and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was dancing. He dearly loved his family and his grandchildren know him as the "Best Papaw Ever!" Bob would take every opportunity to spend time with his family. One of the ways he did so was by making the best chicken and dumplings, which will not be forgotten.
On October 20, 2007 Bob was united in marriage to Tabatha Rae Gross Lafevers. In addition to his wife of 19 years he is survived by a son: Daniel (Lisamarie) Lafevers of Hamilton; a daughter: Tiffany Marie (Dewayne) Miolen of Chatsworth, GA; a brother: Gregory (Sandra) Lafevers; three sisters: his twin Roberta (Jim) Hillis, Jackie (Don) McClain and Betty (Bill) Scruggs; 12 grandchildren: Zachary Beatty, Samantha Gallimore, Nathaniel Grimes, Michael Lowe, Mason Lowe, Danny Lafevers, Blake Lafevers, Jocelin Grimes, Cheyanne Lowe, Olivia Loebker, Brentley Kresser and Braden Kresser; a sister-in-law: Diane Lafevers; and four brothers-in-law: Robert Murphy, Mike Robbins, James Wagner and Troy Vaughn.
Bob was preceded in death by a son: Robert "Bobby" Lafevers, Jr.; three brothers: David Lafevers, Doug Lafevers and Buddy Lafevers; and five sisters: Millie Murphy, Phyllis Robbins, Vicki Wagner, Joyce Ann Vaughn and Bridgette Lafevers.
Visitation will be 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, 14635 Walton-Verona Rd., Verona, KY 41092. Funeral services will also be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Hurston officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, KY.
