Roby Lee Mink

Roby Lee Mink, 80, went home to be with the Lord on June 16, 2026, in Georgetown, Kentucky. He was born in Williamstown, Kentucky, to Cecil B. Mink and Lorene Gilbert.

Roby devoted 37 years of dedicated service to GTE/Verizon Telephone in Lexington, Kentucky. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed antique cars, watching car restoration shows, and being at home with his wife, Virginia. In later years, he and Virginia shared great joy in feeding the ravenous squirrels peanuts and watching them play in the backyard. Roby will be deeply loved, fondly remembered, and greatly missed by all who knew him.

Along with his wife, Virginia, Roby was lovingly remembered by his daughter, Karen (Lee) Gooch, and his son, Roby (Michele) Mink; his grandchildren, Jonathan Gooch, Alexandria Gooch, Cierra Mink, Kari Gonzalez (Eliseo), and Roby C. Mink; and his great-grandson, Eli Gonzalez.

Besides Roby’s parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Kenny Mink, Buddy Mink, and his sister, Betty Bennett.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Eckler McDaniel Funeral Home in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, with Rev. Rob Muncy officiating; the funeral service will directly follow at 12:00 pm. Burial will be in the Williamstown Cemetery.
