Rose Marie (Spegal) Ball
Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend 1957 – 2025
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rose Marie Ball, who left this world peacefully on June 20th, 2025, at the age of 67. Rose was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, treasured sister, and a steadfast friend. Her kindness, wit, and strength of spirit left a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Born in Bellevue, Kentucky, in 1957, Rose lived a life rooted in love, resilience, and deep faith. She selflessly gave her heart and time to her family, always placing others before herself. Her home was a sanctuary of warmth, laughter, and unconditional love.
Rose found joy in life’s simple pleasures—people-watching, sipping coffee at the kitchen table, or spending precious time with her grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable pride and happiness. Her unwavering sense of humor carried her—and those around her—through even the hardest times, and her calm, comforting presence will be dearly missed.
Rose was preceded in death by her beloved son Jake Herald, her parents Ann and Richard Spegal, her brother Richard Spegal, and her sisters Dixie Atwood and Kathryn Lehmkuhl.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jack Ball; three children, Lindsay Helm (Travis), Zach Ball, and Jaclyn (Ryan) Abrilla; her sister, Karen (John) Haines; and her five cherished grandchildren: Braeden Dickey, Aubrie Dickey, Conner Dickey, Arabella Helm, and Cailyn Herald. She is also survived by countless other family members and dear friends who will continue to carry forward her legacy of compassion, grace, and enduring love.
A celebration of Rose’s life will be held on June 30th, 2025, with services beginning at 10:00 AM, followed by a celebration of life at Noon at the Jean La Beth in Dry Ridge, KY. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share memories of the extraordinary woman she was.
