Rosita Gail Blevins

Rosita Matthews Blevins, 90, of Williamstown, KY, received her glorified body on Friday August 21, 2026 Grant Healthcare and Rehab. Born on May 26, 1936, in Dallas, TX, she was the daughter of the late Eugene Morrow and Audrie Ellen Foster Matthews.

In 1949, as a young teenager, Rosita was involved in a tragic automobile accident that challenged the rest of her life, but because of a strong faith in the Lord, she persevered and grew in her understanding and relationship with Him. In 1953 she graduated from Rylie High School in Dallas, TX. For many years, she was a secretary for Hines produce in Dallas. On August 10, 1954, she was united in marriage to Norman Blain Blevins; he preceded her in death on February 1, 2012. While living in Texas, she became active in the Rylie First Baptist Church and also in the River of Life Church in Alderson. After moving to Grant County, she became a member of Unity Baptist Church in Demossville.

Rosita will be fondly remembered by her daughter, Susan Williams of Dry Ridge; two grandchildren: Scott (Patty) Williams of Crittenden, Jennifer (Jeremy) Messer of Falmouth and two great-grandchildren: Emily Horton of Louisville and Conner Williams of Crittenden. Also surviving are three sisters: Nancy (Doyle) Daniels of Garland, TX, Bobbie Matthews of Oklahoma, Karen (Bill) Lynch of Durrant, OK. She was preceded in death by a brother, Don Matthews.

Visitation and funeral services for Rosita will be handled by Turrentine-Jackson- Morrow Funeral Homes in Allen TX. Tentative plans are being made for visitation followed by a funeral to be on Saturday August 29, 2026. Burial will be in the Fitzhugh Cemetery in Lucas, TX.
