Sammy Lou Martin

Sammy Martin, 87, of Williamstown, KY, passed away on Saturday August 30, 2025 at her residence. Born on November 19, 1937 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late Roy Howard and Essie Mae Burdett Elliott.

She was married to Charlie Martin; he preceded her in death in 2012. In her calling as a committed homemaker and faithful housewife, she found much joy and contentment in meeting the needs of her family. Following the Cincinnati Reds and Bengals, shopping and eating out were among her favorite pastimes, but nothing could equal the love she had in spending time with her family, whom she loved so dearly. She was a member of Williamstown Baptist Church.

She leaves to carry on her legacy, one son: Danny (Kim) Martin of Williamstown, KY; four daughters: Kay Martin (Mark Perkins) of Corinth, KY, Alice Martin of Williamstown, KY, Barbara Mann of Dry Ridge, KY, Debbie (Don) Roberdeaux of Dry Ridge, KY, a daughter-n-law: Kim (late Charlie) Martin of Williamstown, KY; two sisters: Mildred Conrad of Williamstown, KY and Brenda (Jerry) Roland of Warner Robbins, GA. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Charlie Martin and three grandchildren: Shawn, Katie and Brandon.

Visitation will be Monday September 8, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 with Pastor Sam Newman officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her husband, Charlie, at Williamstown Cemetery.
