Sandra Mae Lindquester Hunt was born August 18, 1950, in Gowanda, New York, and passed away October 23, 2025, in Warsaw, Kentucky, at the age of 75. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth Paul and Helen Amelia Bosworth Lindquester.
Sandra was proud to be a mother and grandmother and loved spending time with her family whenever possible. She leaves behind a beautiful and sprawling legacy, not just in the number of people who called her Mom or Grandma, but in the unwavering warmth, generosity, and resilience she instilled in them. When she was a young girl, her family moved often, and that early experience fostered a strength that allowed her to face all of life's trials with determination and faith.
Sandra was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Crittenden, where her strong faith and willingness to serve were a source of strength to many. She always loved to read and quote the scriptures. She also loved genealogy.
She was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a passion for reading and solving puzzles. She enjoyed spending quiet times watching her favorite shows, including Hallmark movies, the Waltons, Little House on the Prairie, and the Andy Griffith Show. She was known for her gentle laugh and her genuine love of teasing others—a playful spirit that brought a smile to the faces of those she loved. Her kindness, her patience, and her enduring love will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Sandra’s pride and joy included seeing the successes of her children and grandchildren. She loved each of them more than life itself. You could always get her to smile by asking about her legacy.
She is survived by six children: Joann Nasow, Amelia Mae Goldthorpe (Jeffery), Raymond "Skeeter" George Hunt, III (Charlie), Heather Donella Herrmann (Brian), Ringo George Hunt and Heidi Donella Lozano (Billy); two brothers: Jerry Lindquester and Ronald Lindquester; 19 grandchildren: Ellisha, Katana, Raymond "Shortie", Rivirlin, Remington, Ryder, Ronan, Riggs, Kaytalisa, Teryn, Keston, Daniel, Brianna, Alysa, Linsy, Hyrum, Dylan, Audry and Helen; and 2 great grandchildren: Elizabeth and Cassandra.
In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Lindquester.
