Sandra "Sandy" Kay Clifton

Sandra Kay Clifton, 72, of Sparta, KY, entered her heavenly home on Sunday September 27, 2026 at Gallatin Health Care in Warsaw. Born on October 9, 1953, in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late William “Fats” and Opal McGuire Harvey.

On November 20, 1987, “Sandy,” as she was affectionately known, was united in marriage to George Lee “Pete” Clifton at Warsaw Methodist Church; he survives. In 1992, Sandy was employed by CAC (Community Action Care) for the Carroll County and Gallatin County offices. She served as the Supervisor for the Carroll County and Gallatin County offices, until her retirement in 2006. Previously, she was employed at Bogardus Pallett Factory in Glencoe. Being a family-oriented individual, engaging in special times with her family brought her much fulfillment. She was a lady of faith and was involved in the ministries of Concord Pentecostal Church in the Napoleon Community.

Sandy will be fondly remembered by her husband of 39 years, Pete Clifton; one daughter, Opal Jean Hartman and a grandson, Walker Lee Hartman, all of Sparta, KY.

Graveside services will be conducted on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at New Bethel Cemetery in Verona, with Pastor David Bailey officiating and Tyler Mullins providing music.
