Sara Kathleen Roland

Sara Kathleen Roland, 88, of Williamstown, KY, entered her heavenly home on Thursday, September 17, 2026, at her residence. Born on May 16, 1938, in Mowrystown, OH, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Sara Eleanor Duffy Roades.

After many years of service, she retired from Procter & Gamble as a Research Associate. After retirement, she worked in the Lawn & Garden Center at Walmart. Because of her friendly and welcoming smile, coupled with her outgoing personality, she will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Sarah never met a stranger and was very much a “people person”. She was preceded in death by both her husbands; her first husband, Marvin Robinson, preceded her on July 10, 1995; her second husband, Jesse “Pete” Roland, preceded her in death on February 20, 2013. She was a faithful member of Bethany Baptist Church.

She leaves to carry on her legacy, her two daughters: Lynn (Nelson) Work of Dry Ridge, KY, Terry (Clifford) Rayburn of Williamstown, KY; two stepsons: Wayne (Sue) Roland of Williamstown, KY, Mike Roland of Covington, KY; one step-daughter, Dolores (Mark) Luke of West Liberty, KY; one brother, John (Linda) Roades; and two sisters: Pat Cramer and Monta Lowe, along with multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild also survives. In addition to her two husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers: David Roades, Ray Roades and one sister, Barbara Bailey.

Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Elliston – Stanley Funeral Homes (Williamstown). Funeral services will follow at 1:00 with Pastor Danny Parker officiating. Burial will follow in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery.
