Shelia Rae Hensley

Shelia Rae Hensley, 64, of Dry Ridge, KY, passed away on Saturday May 16, 2026 at her residence, leaving behind a legacy of family, kindness and gentle strength. With a strong devotion to family, she lived her life as a testimony of love and faithfulness, touching the hearts of many with her gentle smile and kind heart.

Born on October 11, 1961 in Covington, KY, she was the daughter of the late William Cody “Bill” and Martha Belle Webster Hensley. She spent many years as an Insurance Agent. Shelia loved sports of all kind; she was an ardent supporter of U.K and had a robust passion for horse racing but her greatest legacy, of which she will be long remembered, is being the heart of her family.

Shelia leaves to carry on her legacy, two daughters: Shelee (Bo) Browning of Williamstown, Leslie (Randy) Thornberry of Dry Ridge; one brother, Gary (Vicki) Hensley of Walton; two sisters: Gayle Smith of Bellevue and Bobbi (Bob) Riesenbeck of Florence; along with four grandchildren: Mallory Haynes, Leanna Browning, Aubri Browning and Raelynn Browning. Preceding her in death are three brothers: James Hensley, Don Hensley, Terry Hensley and a sister, Betty Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
