Sherry Jeanne Lingar

Sherry Jeanne Lingar was born August 2, 1969 in Cleveland, Ohio and passed away September 23, 2026 in Florence, Kentucky at the age of 57.  She was the daughter of the late Robert Eugene and Margaret Marie Stump Mantooth.  

Sherry is survived by two daughters: Heather (Derek Buckley) Faust of Dry Ridge and Misty (Robert) Denney of Walton; two sons: James Dixon and John (Ashlyn Hager) Lingar both of Hamilton, OH; two step daughters: Sandra Lingar and Marti-Lee (John) Lingar-Glenn both of Hamilton, OH; a step son: Isay (Stephani) Fabian; three brothers: Bobby (Diana) Mink, Richard Mink and Timothy Mantooth; a sister: Theresa Lingar; her husband: Bruce; 18 + grandchildren: Jeremiah, Alexis, Braxton, Gannon, Hudsyn, Salem, Kaylynn, Addleigh, Karter, Lucy, John Jr., Madalynn, Wyatt, Callie, Isay, Valencia, Sierra and Emilee; and her fur baby who she treated like one of the family: Bonnie.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Mink.

Sherry worked in housekeeping which also translated into her personal life as her family described her as "an amazing housekeeper."  She had many hobbies that she loved.  She would work with Bruce by painting his woodworking projects.  She also loved singing and performing karaoke, fishing, and swimming.  She was always willing to lend a hand to those in need and could often be found caring for the sick in her community.  She had many friends, all of whom called her Momma Sherry.  But her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Williamstown, KY  41097.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00 PM, Thursday, October 1, 2026 at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Home.  The burial will be in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
