Sissy Rosendo

Sissy Rosendo (née Spaulding) passed away on July 17, 2026, in Florence, Kentucky, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and compassion that will continue to inspire everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Born on March 6, 1965, in Covington, Kentucky, Sissy’s life was marked by deep, abiding love for her family and community, and a joyful embrace of life’s simple pleasures.

Sissy’s heart was always open, especially to those in need. She was the kind of person who would reach out a helping hand without hesitation, seeking out opportunities to offer support, advice, or simply her kind presence. 

She delighted in spending time with her grandchildren, finding happiness in their laughter and innocent wonder. Whether sharing stories, adventures, or just a quiet afternoon, these moments filled her with pride and a sense of fulfillment that she treasured deeply.

Shopping trips, especially to thrift stores, were a particular delight to Sissy. She had a keen eye for hidden gems and approached every outing with a sense of discovery and fun. Music also played an important role in her life, often filling her home and her heart with melody. She especially enjoyed going clogging, finding both camaraderie and joy in the lively rhythm of the dance.

Sissy is lovingly remembered by her children, Josh Spaulding, Jeremy Spaulding, and Zoee Hess; her brother, Greg Spaulding; her sister, Gail Brown; her step-sons, Christian Rosendo and Javier Rosendo; and her 13 grandchildren, McKenzie, Lyndsay, Shaylynn, Hayden, Landyn, Xavier, Elijah, Kinsley, Ethan, Hannah, Harper, Theo and Emiliano.  She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Brandon Hess, whose memory remained ever close to her heart..

The family, though saddened by her passing, takes comfort in the enduring love and kindness she brought into every day. Sissy’s laughter, her boundless generosity, and her zest for the small joys in life will live on in their hearts forever.

Private memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date.
