Sondra Gail Johnson Bailey

Sondra Gail Johnson Bailey of Verona, KY was born August 18, 1940 in Kenton County, KY and died Friday, February 13, 2026 in Edgewood, KY at the age of 85.

She was the daughter of the late Raymond Wesley Johnson and Alberta Mullins Tobergte. She was a homemaker and former deputy clerk with the Grant County Clerk’s Office and was a member of the Concord Baptist Church. On June 15, 1957 she was united in marriage to her husband, Deford Bailey.

Surviving; husband, Deford Bailey of Verona; daughter, Robin (Tom) Phillips of Verona; sons, Steven (Jennifer) Bailey and Randall Bailey both of Verona; four grandchildren, Goldie (Mitchell) Landrum, Karli (Chris) Ginder, Emily Schaffer, and Bethany Phillips; five step-grandchildren; and a great-grandchild, Kaleb Landrum.

Visitation will be 4:00-7:00pm Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona, KY. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Thursday, February 19, 2026 at the Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home, Verona, KY followed by burial in the Napoleon Cemetery.
