Keith Fortner

Stephen Keith Fortner, of Corinth, KY, entered into his eternal home one day after his 79th birthday, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Born on July 29, 1947, in Covington, KY, he was the son of the late Gayle Bradford and Georgia Irene Lovins Fortner.

On September 17, 1966, he was united in marriage to the former Judy Ann Gatewood; she survives. He retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation – State Road Department, where he served as an Inspector. Farming, quail hunting and softball were pastimes he enjoyed but his greatest fulfillment came from spending time with family. He was a member of the Masonic (Grant) Lodge #85; he was commissioned as a Kentucky Colonel and attended the Williamstown Baptist Church.

Keith leaves to carry on his legacy, his wife of 59 years, Judy Fortner; one son, Chris (Angie) Fortner of Corinth, KY; one daughter, Nicole (Dan) Zaluski of Lexington, KY; one brother, David Fortner of Dry Ridge, KY; two sisters: Jackie Fortner of Dry Ridge, KY and Pat (Dennis) West of Williamstown, KY, along with three grandchildren: Miles (AD) Fortner, Carter Zaluski, Lorelei Zaluski and one great-grandchild, Jaxon, on the way.

Keith was preceded in death by Ila Gail Fortner, whose memories remained close to his heart.

Visitation will be Sunday August 2, 2026 from 12 Noon to 1:45 p.m. at Elliston-Stanley Funeral Homes – Williamstown. A Masonic service to begin at 1:45 p.m. will precede the funeral services; burial will follow in the Hill Crest Cemetery in Dry Ridge.
