Stephen Richard Rowland

Stephen Richard Rowland, a beloved member of his community, passed away on February 1, 2026, in Dry Ridge, Kentucky, at the age of 71. Born on June 16, 1954, in Essex, England, Stephen's journey led him to the United States, where he ultimately made a cherished life for himself.

Stephen dedicated over 15 years of his career to the garden center at Wal Mart, where his quiet demeanor and humble nature left a lasting impression on both colleagues and customers alike. After graduating high school in Cincinnati, Ohio, he later earned an associate's degree from the University of Cincinnati, underscoring his commitment to education and personal growth.

Known for being a private person, he found joy in simple pleasures and had a profound appreciation for life's quieter moments. Stephen had a passion for attending horse races and enjoyed boating at Williamstown Lake. These hobbies reflected his love for the outdoors and brought him much happiness.

He is survived by his loving sisters, Julie M. Rowland and Janine Heath, who will forever cherish the memories of their time together. Stephen is preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Duce Rowland; father, Gene Rowland; brother, Michael Rowland; and sister, Jo Anna Harcourt. Their legacy of love and support will continue to resonate in the hearts of his surviving family members.

Stephen Richard Rowland will be remembered for his gentle spirit and his enduring contribution to his community. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched and the fond memories held by those who had the honor to know him.
