Warren "Grumpy" Lambert May 17, 1954 – June 30, 2025
Warren "Grumpy" Lambert, 71, of Grant County, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his home on June 30, 2025. Born on May 17, 1954, Warren was a proud graduate of Grant County High School. He went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy from 1976 to 1997. During his time stationed in Japan, Warren made a lasting impact as the original creator of "The Angel Tree" in Misawa, bringing hope and joy to countless families during the holiday season.
Warren married Eva Taylor on June 9, 1972, and together they spent 53 years in marriage. He is preceded in death by his parents: James Caleb Lambert and Juanita Joyce Raines Lambert; his brothers, James Caleb Lambert Jr. and Charles William Lambert; his son: Warren Lambert; and his grandson, Kody Lambert. He is survived by his wife, Eva Lambert; sons: Bryon Lambert (Katrina) of Erlanger, KY and James Lambert (Natasha) of Robertsdale, AL; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren—with one more on the way.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Elliston Funeral Home would be greatly appreciated. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 11th at 11:45 p.m. at The Mount Church, located on 400 Eibeck Lane, Williamstown, KY 41097. A committal service will follow at the Veterans Cemetery with Full Military Honors; arrival time is 1:00.
