Willena Kay Porter Jump

Willena Kay Porter Jump of Verona, formerly of Williamstown, KY, was born August 14, 1947 in Williamstown and died Tuesday, June 17, 2025 in Edgewood, KY at the age of 77 years.

She was the daughter of the late Obie Porter and Jewell Mae Reynolds Clifton. She was retired Deputy and Executive Finance Officer for the Grant County Detention Center, as well as previously working at Pic-Pac Grocery in Williamstown and as a customer service manager for Wal-Mart. She was united in marriage to husband, Gary Louie Jump, on Sept. 18, 1964. Although spending time with her ever-growing family was a great enjoyment, she and Louie also enjoyed retirement by spending time at Lake Cumberland and winters in Florida.

Kay was a member of the Williamstown Baptist Church where she was church librarian, member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class, member of the choir, and part of the Super Seniors. She was also a member of the Rosebud #39 OES and formerly with Williamstown #301 OES, as well as a member of the Grant County Gideons Auxiliary.

Surviving is her husband of 60 years, Gary Louie Jump of Verona; daughters, Renee (Todd) Taylor of Warsaw, Carla (Steve) Combs of Corinth, Mary Jump of Missouri, and Amie (Cree) Walkup of Blue Springs, MO; sons, Mark (Wray Jean) Jump and Christopher Jump both of Williamstown; 15 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, Doug (Lisa) Clifton of Jonesville; and sisters, Sharon (Ron) Flender of Venice, FL, Carolyn (Wayne) Horn of Williamstown, and Darlene (Steve) Pittman of Erlanger.

Visitation will be 4:00-8:00pm Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at the Williamstown Baptist Church. Funeral services will be at 11:00am Wednesday, June 25, 2025 at the Church with visitation after 9:30am Wednesday prior to the funeral.

Memorials are suggested to the Williamstown Baptist Church or Gideons International Grant County Camp.
