William "Bill" Randall Gamble

William “Bill” Randall Gamble, 79, of Crittenden, KY, passed away at his residence on Friday August 28, 2026. Born on September 5, 1946 in Paintsville, KY, he was the son of the late William and Martha Alice Fannin Gamble.

On August 16, 1975, he was united in marriage to the former Joan Tabb Valentine; she survives. In 1965, he graduated from Walton-Verona High School. Upon graduation, he attended Basic Training in the Army but shortly afterwards, had to be medically discharged. After many years as a Quality Control Manager at Rotek Industries, he retired. He was an avid hunter; he especially enjoyed deer and quail hunting, along with fishing, golfing and NASCAR. He will be fondly remembered by his children as their softball coach in their younger years.

Those left to continue his legacy is his wife of 51 years, Joan Gamble; two daughters: Amy (John) Ruber of Georgetown, KY, Erin Gamble of Crittenden, KY; two sisters: Martha Ward of Crittenden, KY, Donita (Brad) Winkle of Florence, KY;  two brothers: David (Carol) Gamble of Crestview Hill, KY and Don (Laura) Gamble of Union, KY, along with his two beautiful grandchildren: Jaxson Ruber and Grayson Ruber. Several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews also survive.  He was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Samuel and Karla Gamble.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 5, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Stanley Funeral Homes in Crittenden. Funeral services will begin at 1:00; burial will be in New Bethel Cemetery in Verona.
