Lucia Ann Black

December 4, 1934 - October 26, 2015

Mrs. Lucia Ann Kerns Black, a Walton resident, passed away at the St. Elizabeth Hospice in Edgewood on Monday, October 26, 2015 at the age of 80. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Black.

Mrs. Black was a devoted member of the New Bethel Baptist Church, loved to cook and care for her family, loved her grandchildren dearly, and was a huge Cincinnati Reds fan.

She is survived by two sons, Dan Black (Nell) of Florence, Chris Black (Marta) of Walton, one daughter, Pam Kirk (Ron) of Walton, one brother, Larry Kerns of Walton, three sisters, Jenny Ross of Walton, Delores Cheeseman of Independence, KY, Linda Courtney of Walton, KY, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 28 from 5-8pm at the Hamilton - Stanley Funeral Home in Verona, KY. Funeral Services for Mrs. Black will be Thursday at 10am at the New Bethel Baptist Church, Verona, KY. Burial will be at the New Bethel Cemetery, Verona, KY.
