Donald Brashear was born Nov. 15, 1932 in Grant Co., Kentucky and passed away Jan. 5, 2023 at his residence in Warsaw, Kentucky at the age of 90. He was the son of the late Roy and Blanche Marie Morgan Brashear.
Donald was a lifelong farmer who enjoyed all aspects of farming. He was known to be a tremendously hard worker. The last few years he was unable to farm so bird watching became a favorite pastime.
He was a member of Ten Mile Baptist Church in Glencoe and was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean War.
Donald was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Hall Brashear; an infant daughter, Karen Sue Brashear; a brother, Roy Stephen Brashear; and three sisters, Joann Peace, Dorothy Atha and Wanda Brashear. He is survived by his son: Jeffrey Brashear of Glencoe; a daughter: Angie Akins (Jimmy Biddle) of Warsaw; two grandchildren: Amanda Garrett and Jason Brashear; and 2 great grandchildren: Dakota Carnes and Jenna Carnes.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Hamilton-Stanley Funeral Home in Verona. Visitation will be 12:00 - 2:00 PM, Thursday, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Napoleon Cemetery.
